A couple of questions have occurred to me on the scratch dial, to which I have no answers yet:
- with 12 equal divisions, does this mean each hour on the dial is also of the same length on a particular day?
- in the Summer months, won't such dials, being South-facing, be in shadow near sunrise and sunset and hence unusable?
